Teeth Whitening

Fresh Effects has a proprietary recipe for our whitening gel and therefore will not disclose all ingredients it contains. That said, we are happy to let you know that it is a plant-based organic gel. There are 7 ingredients total and here are the main ones:

  • 20% food grade hydrogen peroxide which aids in killing bacteria, which leaves your mouth healthier while whitening down to your dentin layer
  • Calcium
  • Organic Grapefruit seed extract
  • Organic Aloe
  • The gel also contains a key ingredient to aid with remineralization and desensitization. This may help with any sensitivity the client may experience due to hydration.

There are 3 applications during the initial session. These help in the following ways:

  • The first application will whiten your surface stains.
  • The second application opens the pores and enamel of your teeth and whitens the second layer.
  • The third application opens all the way into your dentin layer and whitens those hard-to-get stains that are settled in your teeth.

You will be sent a text or email prior to your appointment with some instructions to help get the absolute most of your session. After the service, you will also be sent home with white toothpaste and a soft toothbrush to help continue the whitening effects of your treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is your product safe for nursing or pregnant women?

Answer: Yes because we use a food grade product and dental grade hydrogen peroxide, if you are pregnant or nursing you should be able to have your teeth whitened. However, we do ask that you speak with and get consent from your OB-Gyn.

How long will my results last and how often should I get this done?

There is no guarantee as to how long the results will last and that is due to everyone having a different diet and/or lifestyle than someone else. Things like coffee, smoking, and other teeth staining activities can cause quicker staining. The average is 3-6 months. We do offer touch up sessions in between to continue your teeth journey.

Will this cause any sensitivity?

While there is guarantee that there won’t be any sensitivity it all depends on hydration. Please hydrate properly in the 24 hours prior to your appointment and this should help with sensitivity. We do not use any harsh chemicals or preservatives to reduce the chance, but it all depends on the client.

How old do you have to be?

Anyone from age 11 on can get their teeth whitened. However, we do require parental/guardian approval for anyone under 18.

How long should I plan to be at the salon for?

The session is booked in the schedule for 90 minutes as to allow enough time. You will have three, twenty-minute applications and you are allowed to take a couple minutes in between each application as sometimes the mouthpiece can be uncomfortable.
